Field equipment
Bows, blades, martial gear, shields, leather equipment, gathering tools, and specialist items turn gathered materials into durable character capability.
Fractara gameplay · Production ledger
Fractara's live crafting system uses authored recipes, skill gates, server-reserved ingredients, timed actions, workshop and position rules, and atomic outputs. Players produce equipment, consumables, cores, navigation supplies, and world buildings; cancellation refunds materials, while valid completion persists the result.
Transaction sequence
The browser presents the work. The backend owns recipe resolution, world authority, reservations, time, and persistence.
Choose an authored recipe. The connected client shows ingredient counts, time, skill requirements, and why a locked craft is unavailable.
The backend resolves the catalog action and checks skill unlocks. Stationary work and buildings require a trusted live position; workshops and placement rules are enforced there.
Ingredients are reserved inside the same transaction that creates one durable timed action. A character cannot start a second craft or smelt over it.
The server owns start and completion timestamps. Craft-speed effects can shorten the authored duration without letting the client declare itself finished.
Completion finalizes reserved ingredients and writes the item or world building before clearing the action and publishing updated state.
Authored catalog
The 69 scroll records are not 69 identical buttons. Skills, ingredients, location, structures, and output types determine which path each record uses.
Bows, blades, martial gear, shields, leather equipment, gathering tools, and specialist items turn gathered materials into durable character capability.
Potions, combat supplies, processed resources, and utility items provide repeatable sinks for materials from gathering and creatures.
Skill-gated core recipes convert rare inputs into components used by equipment infusion and build specialization.
Wayfinding recipes support the systems that record, reveal, and navigate a location-based world rather than existing as detached vendor goods.
Forges, trade tents, homes, and specialized anchors use live coordinates and building rules so a recipe can change the shared map.
Skill becomes process
Active class effects can reduce the server-owned timer and increase output quantity for qualifying bulk recipes.
Forging unlocks iron smelting, raises its success percentage, and can improve authored durability on supported metal equipment.
Authored levels unlock leather equipment recipes and can increase the durable output state of supported leather goods.
Stabilizer levels unlock specialist anchors; Merchant levels unlock trade-tent tiers whose placement still follows world authority and owner limits.
Live smelting record
A nearby owned workshop, trusted live position, and Forging level one are required. The action lasts five seconds and shares the same reservation boundary as crafting.

This is a first-party live-system record reviewed by Mask on July 17, 2026. Counts and rules describe the current worktree; balance values or recipe availability can change and should trigger review.
One economy, one map
Gathering and combat create inputs. Skills unlock and improve production. Equipment returns to combat; buildings and anchors change shared geography; trade gives outputs social value. Crafting is the conversion layer between those systems.

Players choose an authored scroll, meet its skill and ingredient requirements, and send crafting intent through the connected client. The backend validates the recipe and any position or workshop rules, reserves materials, creates a durable timed action, and persists the item or building only when completion is valid.
The current shared catalog contains 69 authored scroll records across five visible categories. Fifty-two declare item outputs and fifteen declare building outputs. Two Lantern records are deliberately routed through territory-specific map actions instead of the ordinary crafting-output path.
Cancelling a supported active crafting or smelting action refunds its reserved materials in full. The server removes the durable action and active-action lock in the same transaction boundary. Materials are finalized only when completion succeeds.
Yes. Authored skills unlock recipes and can affect server-owned duration, bulk quantity, smelting success, repair economics, or equipment durability. Effects are derived from the durable skill aggregate rather than values supplied by the client.
The current live smelting action converts two iron ore over five seconds at a nearby owned workshop. Forging level one unlocks it with a 60 percent success rate; levels two and three raise that rate to 70 and 80 percent. Success grants one iron ingot and failure grants one iron slag.
Supported building recipes do. They require trusted live coordinates and must pass building placeability rules before ingredients are reserved. Completion persists the world building and publishes a placed-state update. This page does not imply that every authored building is unlocked for every player.
