Fractara gameplay · Territory operations
Fractara's live territory system lets players craft and place Rift Lanterns on valid nearby ground. Each completed Lantern creates a persistent 270-meter claim that can become a travel anchor, control visitor access, be upgraded and repaired, and be attacked or taken over through server-authorized multiplayer play.
The live claim loop
Location starts the action. The backend decides whether the claim is legal, reserves the recipe, and persists the result only after the timed placement completes.
Collect two wood and one leather—the current Rift Lantern recipe.
Choose valid nearby ground. The server checks range, terrain, and map conflicts before placement.
Complete the timed placement to create a durable claim on the shared world map.
Use owned Lanterns for jumps and set how other Claimants may visit the territory.
Access is a game system
Owners jump to their own active anchors. Foreign travel is governed by the claim's access state—not by an ornamental map marker.
Other Claimants may visit immediately. The owner may set the live public toll to 0, 3, or 10 gold.
Travel follows an approved passage agreement, including its agreed fee when one applies.
Foreign visits are blocked. The claim remains available to its owner as a travel anchor.
Persistent means contestable
A placed Lantern owns its persistent territory footprint.
Foreign attacks reduce Lantern health through server-authorized actions.
At or below half health, refined oil can start a destruction timer.
Owners can spend materials to restore the claim before the burn completes.

For Parallel Kingdom players
Parallel Kingdom used flags, houses, travel networks, and conflict to make familiar geography socially valuable. Fractara is an independent original game, but it carries that deeper need forward: a claim changes where players can go, what they can protect, and what another player may contest.

Players craft and place Rift Lanterns on valid nearby ground. A completed Lantern creates a persistent circular claim on the shared real-world map. The owner can use it for travel, control visitor access, upgrade it, repair it, or defend it from other players.
The current live claim radius is 270 meters. Placement itself must be within 30 meters of the player's authoritative world position and pass server checks for terrain and overlapping world objects.
That depends on the access mode. Public claims permit visits and may charge 0, 3, or 10 gold. Normal access requires an approved passage agreement. Private access blocks foreign visits. Owners can jump to their own active anchors.
Yes. Foreign players can damage Lanterns, ignite weakened claims with refined oil, and force owners to repair or extinguish them. Long-abandoned claims can eventually be taken over through a separate server-validated action.
